Within the first few weeks of the lockdown and the world adapting to Covid 19 restrictions, remote and home working became the new normality for most. We however saw one of our planning applications, for the conversion and redevelopment of the former Farringdon social club being approved through remote Planning Committee at Sunderland City Council sub regional planning committee.
The scheme is for the conversion to a retail and commercial local centre scheme, which will see the building being redeveloped and brought back into a viable and vibrant use for the local community.
We now look forward to working with the applicant / developer through PoW stages 4 – 7 and seeing tenants bring the building back to life.
